Baker and Partners have appointed a senior litigator with expertise in trust disputes and contentious company law matters to Partner.
James Sheedy joined the firm in 2014, and was ranked as a Notable Practitioner in the Chamber and Partners Offshore Dispute Resolution Guide five years later.
He has also been dubbed a 'Rising Star' in Legal 500 and been included in eprivateclient's Channel Islands 35 Under 35.
Mr Sheedy is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Estate Practitioners (ACTAPS), the Contentious Trust Association (ConTrA) and the Chancery Bar Association. He is also a member of the Trust Law Working Committee of Jersey Finance that considers reforms to the Jersey’s Trusts Law.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome James to the partnership," Senior Partner Stephen Baker commented.
"Since joining the team eight years ago, he has played an integral part in some of our most complex cases, cultivating an enviable personal reputation particularly for complex trust work in Jersey. His drive and dedication to his clients made the decision to promote him to partner very straightforward.”
