Sports and Spinal Clinic appoints experienced new physio

Tuesday 01 June 2021

Jersey Sports and Spinal Clinic has appointed a new sports physiotherapist.

Alexander Coleman is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a particular interest in treating sports injuries.

Originally from Bradford in West Yorkshire, Mr Coleman is completing his MSc in Physiotherapy, having already gained an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, a BSc (hons) in Sports Therapy. Additionally, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

The clinic says he had a promising career in football with Bradford City and Sheffield United before getting injured.  He has worked with Castleford Tigers Rugby League and Leeds Tykes Rugby Union, as well as Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies F.C and Sheffield United F.C.

Mr Coleman commented:  “Jersey is a healthy, sporty island and I’m looking forward to doing my bit to make sure it stays that way. The team at the JSSC have a wealth of experience and are dynamic in their approach. Unlike other physio clinics who only specialise in a given area, the JSSC has a large team of highly qualified and experienced physiotherapists who can care for any area of the body. The ethos of the team is fantastic in that they simply wish to get clients better, and keep them feeling better.”

Lisa Mann, co-founder and director of the Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic, said: “To offer the best services, we must be innovative in our approach, constantly striving to be better. Recruiting Alex is a real coup as he has both experience and qualifications. Alex will complement the team brilliantly.”
