St. George's Preparatory School has agreed to pay all staff and contractors the Living Wage.
Set at £10.96 per hour, the Living Wage takes into account the cost of living, taxes and the value of benefits available to working people on low incomes.
It received the Living Wage Accreditation from Caritas Jersey, which is responsible for promoting and administering the scheme, last month.
Campaign Team Leader Jennifer Bridge said the accreditation "signals to parents, students and the wider community that all staff and contractors are paid at least the Living Wage.”
Head Teacher Cormac Timothy added: “One of our four core school values is ‘Responsibility’ and we see it as our responsibility to ensure that every member of our team is recognised and rewarded for their contribution towards making St. George’s the very special place it is. Being Living Wage Accredited shows that our commitment to our staff is the same as to our pupils. We want to play our part in ensuring that everyone involved our school community is able to thrive and fulfil their potential.
"Achieving the Living Wage Accreditation is an important part of our duty as an organisation but, most importantly, it’s a recognition that we are a team and when one succeeds, we all succeed.”
Other recent recipients of the accreditation include MasonBreese and KPMG.
