6th form students from Victoria College and consortium students from JCG, Beaulieu and De La Salle will be learning about Brexit, blockchains and entrepreneurship today as part of a business and economics event at Club Soulgenic.
Guest speakers will include Christian May on Brexit, Robbie Andrews on Crypto and blockchain development, Glenda Rivoallan and Matthew Robins on entrepreneurship and James Linder on the role of Digital Jersey in the development of digital industries in Jersey.
The event was organised by Victoria College teachers, Lisa De Gruchy and Denise Montgomery. They approached local start up Soulgenic, which is about to launch a well-being app, to host the event.
Ms de Gruchy said: "We are passionate about students broadening their understanding of current themes in business but in real world contexts. It is important for our students to get access to local businesses who are prepared to help our students apply their learning from the classroom. Not only does it enrich the learning but its also a great networking opportunity for our students."
Ms Montgomery added: "This promises to be a great event and indeed a very valuable experience for all involved."
