The Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE) has promoted two members of staff with effect from 1 January.
Mark Oliphant is now Head of Communications and Cameron Craine has been promoted to Manager within the listings admissions team.
Fiona Le Poidevin, CEO of the CISE, said: “I am extremely pleased that Mark and Cameron have been promoted. This is recognition that both of them have been consistently operating at a high standard, just one of the elements that have helped contribute to the success of the business during the last year.”
Mr Oliphant joined the CISE in June 2015, having previously spent nearly a decade at Guernsey Finance promoting the island’s finance industry to a global audience. A former journalist, he has a Diploma in Public Relations and recently qualified as a Chartered Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and is currently Vice Chairman of the Channel Islands Group of the CIPR.
Prior to moving Guernsey and joining the Exchange in May 2011, Mr Craine previously worked as an Account Manager within the sales and marketing team for NZX Agri, a rural publications company owned by the New Zealand Stock Exchange. He has attained a Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Level 3 Certificate in Securities and is also an Associate Member of CISI. He also has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree from Lincoln University, New Zealand.
Mrs Le Poidevin added: “These promotions demonstrate the range of opportunities and the career pathways which are available through the CISE. I look forward to working with Mark and Cameron in their new roles and with the rest of the team as we build on last year’s successes and continue to develop the business during 2017.”
