Walkers has hired four new lawyers and appointed a new Partner in Jersey.
Walkers International has hired a new partner who is set to join the Walkers Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team.
Richard Holden, a Jersey Advocate, has more than 25 years' experience in private practice across four jurisdictions and has been practising in Jersey for 10 years.
He has previously practised in London as a Barrister and in New Zealand as a Barrister and Solicitor at a leading commercial firm. Moreover, He is a Visiting Professor of Trusts Law at the Institute of Law in Jersey, and the author of Offshore Civil Procedure, the definitive guide to court and litigation procedure in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man published by Sweet & Maxwell.
At Walkers, he will be advising on complex trusts disputes and commercial litigation.

Advocate Nigel Sanders, who leads the Walkers Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team, said: "We are delighted to welcome Richard to our growing Insolvency and Dispute Resolution team. Additionally, Walkers has also hired four new lawyers to the Banking and Finance team with the aim of continuing the firm’s strategic growth.
Senior Counsel Christine Fox, Senior Associate Melissa Hellio, Associate Cathryn Houston and Associate Mark Klag have all been hired to join the team.
Partner Nigel Weston, who leads Walkers' Channel Islands Banking & Finance Group, commented: "We are delighted to have Christine, Melissa, Cathryn and Mark join our busy team – they bring to the group significant experience across our key areas of real estate finance, capital markets work, and asset finance."

This expansion of the Banking and Finance team in Jersey coincides with expansion in other parts of Walkers' Channel Islands business with five new hires in Guernsey, including a new partner; Craig Cordle.
The new arrivals were also welcomed by Fraser Hern, the Head of Walkers' Channel Islands business: "We are delighted that they have decided to join our Channel Islands practice at such an exciting time.
"We also look forward to making further announcements about additional new joiners to the business in the coming weeks."
