Cheques or cash can also be collected at the tournament. All proceeds will go towards the charity’s life-saving research into medicines and the prevention of heart disease.
‘It’s great to once again be supporting this fantastic event for a charity that makes a real difference in our local community. British Heart Foundation Jersey provide thousands of islanders suffering from heart disease and their families vital support, information and comfort throughout the year. We encourage all secondary schools on the island to get involved and enter as many teams as possible,’ said Richard Clarke, Managing Director of Rossborough Healthcare.
Amy O’Brien, Fundraising Manager – Channel Islands for British Heart Foundation, said: ‘We are incredibly grateful to Rossborough Healthcare for its ongoing support to British Heart Foundation Jersey and our school dodgeball tournament. The last two years have been a roaring success and all players have really enjoyed taking part. It’s a fun and friendly afternoon and a great opportunity to get children out of the classroom and working together as part of a team.’
Following the tournament, medals and a trophy will be presented to the winning team at Springfield Stadium.
