Butterfield is proud to announce its platinum sponsorship of the Jersey Reds rugby shorts. As a platinum sponsor, the Butterfield logo will be featured on the back of the Reds First team’s shorts.
Noel McLaughlin, Chief Operating Officer at Butterfield Bank (Jersey) Limited, said: ‘This sponsorship is hugely important to us as we set up our new banking offering in Jersey. We are keen to integrate ourselves into our new community and get to know our newest jurisdiction. We realise that rugby is incredibly popular and we are delighted to help play a role in supporting it.
‘This is the most high-profile sporting sponsorship we have committed to in the Channel Islands. It is always great to see the community come together to support local athletes and teams alike,’ added Mr McLaughlin.
Jersey Reds chairman, Mark Morgan, said: ‘We are very dependent upon support from corporates in Jersey and it is fantastic to welcome Butterfield to our platinum sponsor level. We believe this will be a very fruitful partnership for both parties.’
The sponsorship follows Butterfield’s acquisition ofDeutsche Bank’s banking and custody business in Jersey, Guernsey, and the Cayman Islands earlier this year, which resulted in Butterfield obtaining its banking and investment business license and establishing an office in Jersey.
