Collas Crill and The Performing Arts Centre today announced Guernsey's alternative employment pantomime SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DIRECTORS opening on Wednesday 4th December 2013 at St James for one night only. Jam-packed with overblown stereotypes, a talking mirror and, of course, a wicked stepmother, SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DIRECTORS twists the old fairy tale to shed light on the difficult process of redundancy, but in fun and light hearted manner. Oh yes they will!

The pantomime was written by and features Guernsey employment law expert Emma Parr. It is open to all but will be of particular interest to directors, business owners and managers and human resources professionals.

Emma Parr said: "Redundancy is a complicated and delicate process that has to be carried out correctly on behalf of both the employee and employer. This panto is designed to offer an alternative and amusing way to learn about the mistakes that are commonly made."

Starring in the performance are the very talented Performing Arts first year students from the Guernsey College of Further Education, who have put the panto into production as part of their curriculum.

Performing Snow White, Rosie Twigg said: "This has been a great experience, not only have we had to manage and plan every element of this production but we have also had to work for an end client, which is great experience for the real world."

Jonathan Snow, Programme Manager for Performing Arts said: "We were delighted when we were approached by Collas Crill to put on this production. It gives the College an opportunity to work for external clients and to a real deadline. The student’s will get an excellent vocational learning opportunity that reflects current trends in the Perfomring Arts Industry. It is also great fun and something completely different that we haven’t been involved with before."

Tickets are priced at £10, with the money raised being donated to The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts. Doors open at St James Concert Hall at 6:30pm for mince pies and a festive drink. Curtains rise at 7:00pm. Bookings can be made by emailing julie.dawson@collascrill.com.
