Fall in love with hospitality at Hand Picked Hotel's Recruitment Day

Would you describe yourself as sunny, happy, smiley and flexible? If so, you could be the perfect match for Hand Picked Hotels!

The AA Five Star Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is hosting a special speed dating style recruitment day on Monday 5^th March from 11am until 1pm to give people an opportunity to meet the hotel team and see what permanent and seasonal roles are on offer.

Heads of Department from both Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa and the AA Four Red Star L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa will be in the Park Suites at Grand Jersey to review CV’s, interview candidates and to highlight the exciting opportunities for training and development within the hand picked hotels group, both on and off the island.

The hotel’s cinema will be screening films about the company while attendees will learn more what a job in the hospitality sector is really like and about the opportunities for advancement within the company from team members such as Tamas Paksai, Assistant Financial Controller, Adi Avarvare Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and Milan Slama Grand Jersey’s Food and Beverage Manager.

Tamas worked his way up from mixing cocktails to Assistant Financial Controller at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa and was recently named Hand Picked Hotels’ Employee of the Year, beating off stiff competition from staff across the Group’s 20 hotels.

Adi also started his career as a barman in 2012 and is now Assistant Food & Beverage Manager while Milan has been with Hand Picked Hotels since 2006, starting out as a Conference and Banqueting Assistant at Woodlands Park Hotel and enjoying a range of internal promotions before joining Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa in April 2017 as Food and Beverage Manager.

The Hand Picked Hotels team will also be meeting Islanders on the States Back to Work Scheme earlier in the day to show them how hospitality could be the perfect job match for them.
