Four books have been shortlisted for the inaugural Channel Islands Children’s Book Award, as nominated by schoolchildren from Jersey and Guernsey.
Pupils in Years 5, 6 and 7 nominated their favourite books of the past 12 months for the award, which is being jointly organised by Jersey Library and Guernsey Schools’ Library Service.
The four shortlisted titles are:
Schoolchildren will now have an opportunity to take part in book groups to discuss and review the shortlisted titles before voting for their favourite. The winner will be announced at an award ceremony at the Jersey Library in June.
