Channel Islands Accountancy firm Grant Thornton took nearly 100 staff to the Durrell Wildlife Park in Jersey.
Spending the day there, in the morning, the team enjoyed some team based work related activities. After lunch the Grant Thornton team spent over 3 hours helping the park staff clear an overgrown area near the Orangutan enclosure.
Adam Budworth, Managing Director at Grant Thornton, “ It was a real pleasure to see our teams from Guernsey and Jersey join together and help the Wildlife Park in such a constructive way. Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was a great way to put something back into what is an important feature of our local community”.
Paddy Haversham-Quaid, CSR Manager at Durrell said, “We are very grateful for the support we received from Grant Thornton and as a CSR project it is the largest we have ever undertaken in a single day. Being a charitable organisation we rely a lot on external help and it was nice to see everyone getting into the spirit of the day. We were also very grateful for the help”.
