Thursday, 22 June will be a day of celebration at Highlands College with three large events planned to bring the community together and to showcase the excellence that is demonstrated across the College.
Sixth Form students will be honoured through departmental awards, with the top performing students invited to be presented with trophies at a formal awards ceremony. These celebrations will be followed by a BBQ event with entertainment featuring DJ performances by Wonky Factory's HEDGIE and Damien Salgado.
Later in the evening, starting from 6pm, the College warmly invites former students and former staff, with their nearest and dearest, to a special reunion event. The Highlands Reunion celebration will commemorate over 50 years of Highlands College as it is currently known, with a delightful mini festival on the campus grounds. Attendees will enjoy live music from popular acts including Wonky Factory DJs, and bands, Intermission and Lauren Ivy & the Engine. The event attracts local favourites such as The Paddock bar, Naughty Monkeys, Not Posh Pizza, and the Waffle Van which will be on site selling a variety of food, drink, and sweet treats.
Jo Terry-Marchant, Principal of Highlands College and University College Jersey (UCJ), said, ‘As graduates of Highlands College and UCJ, our alumni belong to a large and prestigious network of individuals who have gone on to achieve great things. The reunion event offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, share memories and discover where people are now.Additionally, guests will be able to sign up to the Highlands Connected network, a platform for graduates to stay connected and tap into the power of our growing community.’
