The breadth of the challenge linked to cybercrime can sometimes be bewildering. Often senior managers and financial services professionals have more questions than answers on how to prevent cybercrime.

JIBS Events is delighted to be running its 3rdAnnual CyberCrime Conference, which aims to answer some of the burning questions and will serve as a road map for risk management frameworks.

The first keynote presentation of the event will be ‘Lessons learnt from crisis management’ and is to be delivered by Andrew Tannenbaum, Chief Cybersecurity Counsel at IBM. Andrew is the founder and leader of a global legal team that guides the company on a wide range of cybersecurity policy, legal, and investigative matters. Recognized as a thought-leader in cybersecurity, Andrew was named by the National Law Journal as a Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer in 2016. He is a regular speaker at cybersecurity events, has testified before Congress as an expert on cybersecurity law, and has written for and appeared in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, National Journal, Politico, and CSO.

Delegates can also expect to hear a second keynote presentation on ‘Legal aspects of cybersecurity’ delivered by Robert Clark, Professor of Cyber Law & Policy for the U.S. Government. Robert’s cyber law and policy career spans several government organisations involving him in cyber issues from the Army to the National Security Council. He interacts regularly with numerous government agencies and has lectured on many cyber legal issues, such as hacking back and encryption.

Other speakers include:

  • Simon Cubitt, Head of Cybercrime – HMRC Fraud Investigation Service at HMRC

  • Damon Greber, Director Advisory Services at BDO Limited

  • Charlotte Valeur, Managing Director of Global Governance Group

The Conference costs £395 per delegate, with discounts available for members of various professional membership bodies, and is sponsored by BDO, Mimecast and Smart360.
