Ipes, the leading provider of outsourced services to private equity in Europe, has announced the appointment of Gary Ayres as a Senior Manager in the Jersey Office.

Gary joined Ipes in August 2017 and is responsible for the management and development of the Jersey client delivery teams and the associated client portfolios and relationships.

Gary has 11 years asset management experience after starting his career at PwC Ireland where he joined in 2006 as an associate in PwC’s dedicated Asset Management Practice providing audit services to European and US asset management clients. Specialising in the alternatives sector, Gary has a strong core knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and FRS102 having worked with a number of onshore and offshore funds including Private Equity, Hedge and ETFs. Gary was seconded to the PwC Boston and New York practice in 2010 where he gained experience working with large US alternative funds.

Gary moved to PwC Jersey in 2013 and was promoted to Senior Manager where he managed a portfolio of Private Equity clients across Europe and was the Lead Senior Manager on the largest Private Equity audit in the Channel Islands.

Gary is a Chartered Accountant (ACA Ireland) and loves Rugby (former coach to Jersey Ladies RFC) and Triathlon.
