Explore the extensive gardens and woodland set around a traditional granite farmhouse at Domaine des Vaux this Sunday (21 April), open by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Marcus Binney.
This secret valley contains native and specimen trees, including many Magnolia, Camellia and Azelea. The meandering paths lead down the valley through Japanese Maple to Dawn Redwoods, Swamp Cyprus and ponds fringed with Gunnera and Arum lilies.
The main garden is a riot of colour and scent throughout the seasons, including a Mediterranean area and a productive Potager with vegetables and herbs surrounding a beautiful glasshouse. Enjoy the dramatic show of tulips on the house terrace with a clotted cream tea.
And, to ensure you get the most out of your visit, Neil and Alli Singleton of Birding Tours will be conducting one of their wonderful Nature Walks at 3pm.
Don’t forget to treat yourself to one of JAYF’s delicious Cream Teas, served with Jersey cream and milk.
A fantastic family outing and a joy for garden lovers everywhere.
