Jersey Hockey are delighted to announce that Maddie Hinch and fellow goalkeeping coach, Laura Myers, are visiting Jersey and running a programme of hockey sessions over the weekend of 1st and 2nd July to Jersey and Guernsey hockey goalkeepers and local coaches.
Both Laura and Maddie have visited Jersey before to pass on their knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm.
Recently retired goalkeeper Maddie Hinch finished her international hockey career with 186 caps for England and GB winning Olympic, European and Commonwealth gold medals along the way. Hinch debuted in 2008 and became England and GB number 1 in 2013. She currently plays for Tilburg in the Dutch top league and runs a highly successful hockey goalkeeping company MH1. Hinch is renowned for being a highly athletic and dynamic goalkeeper who excels in penalty shoot- outs.
Laura Myers has been in Jersey delivering goalkeeping as recently as last year and her coaching was so well received there was huge enthusiasm to welcome her back. Laura is a current Premier League goalkeeper for East Grinstead HC and won a Bronze medal at the EuroHockey Trophy Championships in 2022 as well as the Indoor Premier League title in that year. She is a former GB EDP and England U21 goalkeeper and now heads up the coaching for MH1 (Maddie Hinch's goalkeeping camps) as well as being the sponsorship manager for OBO UK
