Jersey Pearl started to support Beresford Street Kitchen in November 2022 with their limited-edition pearl Tassel bracelet collaboration and pledged to make a 5% donation to BSK from every bracelet sold.
One year on they are delighted to have raised over £1,000 for BSK from sales of the bracelet.
‘We could not be happier with the Jersey Pearl collaboration - the vital funds raised will contribute towards the valuable workplace training sessions we provide for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. These sessions are fundamental to the crew’s journey and are vital for preparing the crew to move on from BSK.’ Georgie Dodd, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at BSK.
For the last thirty-seven years Jersey Pearl, a local, family-run business has been involved in island’s life, building local relationships and supporting the cause of Macmillan, SCBU and Jersey Airsearch. Director Julia Williams adds ‘Beresford Street Kitchen is a truly inspiring social enterprise whose work is invaluable to the Island. We are delighted to be a part of their campaign making something beautiful and helping make a real difference to Jersey’s community.’
The relationship between BSK and Jersey Pearl has grown stronger over the past year with one of the BSK crew joining the Jersey Pearl Café team in September. Jersey Pearl manager Paul Melia comments ‘Jen who joined the team earlier this year is a perfect example of the great work BSK is doing to encourage diversity in our community and workplace, she’s been a real asset to our team.’
The limited-edition bracelets can be purchased from Beresford Street Kitchen and all Jersey Pearl stores and jerseypearl.com.
