The Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic (JSSC) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, making them one of Jersey’s longest running physiotherapy and Pilates clinics. They will mark the anniversary with a week of special events and competitions commencing on 10th July, reflecting on their success and achievements in Jersey and announcing some exciting new services.

The JSSC have grown through reputation and recommendation and gone from strength to strength to become one of the Island’s largest musculoskeletal rehabilitation clinics.
Highlights over the last 10 years include being part of Jersey Rugby Clubs rise through the divisions to reach the Championship, volunteering at the Jersey Island Games in 2015 and the recent Gotland Island Games and working at the European Touch Rugby Championships in 2016. They have continually supported local charities through a donation of services to events such as the Jersey Marathon, the Round the Island Walk, Round the Rock Ultra marathon and cross Channel Swims. They remain an integral part of some of Jersey’s most successful sporting teams, including Jersey Reds and Jersey Reds Athletic and Team Jets netball team.
The JSSC is committed to promoting honest and ethical health information, advice and treatment. They foster close working relationships with the medical community, the wider community and local businesses to support and complement their services. The week of birthday events will see JSSC give away items of wearable technology as prizes. On Wed 12th July they are offering a free pop-in consultation to see if physiotherapy could be of benefit to you.
Located on Gloucester Street within the Island Medical Centre, the JSSC will also be launching a new Running Clinic to help runners of all abilities achieve their goals. This clinic will offer Running Gait Analysis and Running Coaching, which will help with race preparation or building up to running a dream distance. The clinic will also offer Strength and Conditioning Classes aimed specifically at runners to help them avoid injury and get the full potential from their bodies.
Lisa Mann, Director of the JSSC, said: “Physiotherapy has moved on so much in the last 10 years. We are no longer a place to only visit when injured; instead, we are an ongoing part of our clients’ lives, helping them maintain good health and wellbeing at every stage of their lives. Myself and Nigel are hugely proud of what we founded and especially proud of the care that our team deliver each and every day which makes real differences to clients health. We wanted to use this occasion to celebrate this with our great staff, existing loyal clients and those we have yet to meet!”
