With the loss of the Visit Jersey Tourist Information Centre (TIC), until recently at Liberation Bus Station, the JTGA have been fortunate in securing the use of the former Centre Ville Notice Board in Liberation Square to display details of the several Walks and Events that the Association offers.
The JTGA are extremely grateful to Connétable Simon Crowcroft in allowing this to happen and also our thanks toProperty Services for their agreement.
The Notice Board, now resplendent with the Association’s logo, is filling up rapidly as member Guides put forward their flyers for display. It has already had a positive effect in attracting both visitors and local residents to the various Walks and Events on offer.
Scheduled by the Parish of St Helier to be refurbished, the Notice Board will be returned it to its former glory and add to the attractiveness as a feature of Liberation Square.
Capt. Brian Nibbs, Chair of the JTGA said ‘ The loss of the TIC for the display of our flyers was a severe blow to us, but from very recent experience, we know that the Notice Board will help to fill our communication gap with those looking to expand their local knowledge. Our accredited Guides look forward to welcoming you and shining a light on their area of expertise’.
