The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) is opening its doors to prospective employees with its first careers drop-in session to be held on 27 April.

The event, which will take place from 16:30 to 18:30 at the JFSC’s Castle Street offices, is an opportunity for potential candidates to learn first-hand about what it is like to work at the Island’s regulator.

Attendees will be able to meet face to face with JFSC employees from all levels of seniority and divisions who will be able to advise on current vacancies and the learning and development opportunities on offer, share information on the JFSC’s benefits package and answer any questions that candidates may have.

Head of Human Resources, Matt Ebbrell commented:

“More than 150 people attended our first Careers Fair which we held in 2015. This year we thought it was important to host the event in-house, opening our doors to professionals, and equally school and university leavers, who might be interested in pursuing a career at the JFSC. It’s a chance for potential candidates to find out more about our working environment and to speak to some of our workforce.

We employ a range of staff from newly qualified graduates, people fresh out of college, through to experienced professionals, who have had successful senior careers in finance and other sectors and are looking for a change in role. We would welcome anyone to pop along for an informal chat to learn about the vacancies we have on offer.”

Staff from the JFSC’s various divisions, including Supervision, Registry, ICT, Enforcement and Human Resources will be on hand at the event on 27 April to speak with all attendees. Light refreshments will also be served between 16:30-18:30.
