On Wednesday 14th February, Les Amis residents are spreading the love with a Hot Chocolate giveaway and Flapjack sale in Brook Street.
The residents will be ensuring everyone feels loved this Valentine’s Day as the charity gives away delicious hot chocolate, with the option of marshmallows and whipped cream on top. The milk has been kindly donated by Jersey Dairy, the Co-op is donating a voucher to buy the hot chocolate and SandpiperCI is providing additional hot chocolate and cups.
From 11:00 am until 4:00 pm, opposite Paperchase, Les Amis staff and residents will be suppling copious amounts of Valentine’s cheer and will be available to answer any questions about the charity.
After selling out last year flapjacks will return to the Les Amis Valentine’s sale. This year the residents will be making the Flapjacks themselves ready to sell on the day.
Jason Loveless, Head of Support Services at Les Amis, said: “This year we have decided to giveaway our Valentine’s Hot Chocolate for free as we want to make sure everyone feels loved this Valentine’s Day. Our residents are incredibly excited to bake the flapjacks so I hope people will support the charity and buy a flapjack as they receive their free hot chocolate.”
During the giveaway and sale trust, corporate and fund services specialist ZEDRA Les Amis’ corporate charitable partner will be helping the residents spread the love and raise awareness for the charity.
All money raised will go towards the charity, which provides essential support to Islanders with learning disabilities.
