Logicalis is proud to continue its association with the Gorey Regatta as it celebrates its 160th anniversary by sponsoring the publication of a 52-page booklet commemorating this very special event.

To be held over the weekend of 1st and 2nd July, the Regatta – the seventh oldest in the British Isles – will welcome sailing enthusiasts of all ages to the beautiful setting of the Royal Bay of Grouville. The commemorative booklet, which features memories and images spanning the 160-year history of the event, will be given out to all this year’s entrants and their crews.

Logicalis has enjoyed a long relationship with Gorey Regatta, having sponsored the event for the last five years, and the IT company has entered teams comprising of staff, their family and friends.

Jonathan Vibert, Systems Consultant, Logicalis, has captained a Logicalis crew in the last nine regattas. He said: “Logicalis is proud to be associated with this historic event that has become one of the highlights of Jersey’s sailing calendar.

“It appeals to a broad range of ages and sailing abilities and, while there are very competitive entrants, the regatta is most welcoming to those just looking to revel in the fun atmosphere of the day and enjoy sailing in Jersey’s waters.”

An integral part of Jersey’s maritime history, the regatta provides both local and visiting sailors with the opportunity to sail in one of the most interesting and picturesque locations in the British Isles.

Justin Horton, Captain of the Gorey Regatta Association, said: “We are delighted to have Logicalis sponsor not only the 160th anniversary regatta but also our commemorative booklet and I would like to thank them for their support over the past years, underpinning the quality and security of such an historic event.”
