Two lucky islanders will meet headline act Olly Murs at the Sure Big Gig this summer thanks to Sony and Sure.

The lucky winner will also get two VVIP tickets which will allow them to watch Saturday’s line-up from the VVIP area at the gig as well as meeting Olly Murs backstage. They will also receive a Sony Xperia XZ Premium handset in Deep-sea Black.

Islanders will need to enter the competition via the Sure Jersey Facebook page by answering the following question: What is the name of Olly’s fifth album, released in 2016? Entrants are also asked to tag a friend they’d like to take with them to the festival.

Only one entry per person is permitted and any answers made outside of the original Sure post will not be included. Entries will be accepted up until Thursday 29 June at 5pm and a winner will be chosen at random from the correct answers on Friday 30 June.

The Sure Big Gig takes place at Howard Davis Park in July and will feature Louisa Johnson, Calum Scott, 5 After Midnight and Olly Murs in a spectacular night of live music entertainment.

Sure’s PR and marketing manager, Natalie Lynch, said: “We’re really excited to team up with Sony to offer this fantastic prize for islanders. The Sure Big Gig is always a great event which kicks off the summer holidays and the lucky winners will be able to experience it in style and meet the man of the hour.

“Not only that but they also win a top-of-the-line Sony Xperia XZ handset. We’d like to wish the best of luck to all of the entrants.”

The outdoor charity music event has been running for eight years and is renowned for featuring top industry artists including Jess Glynne, JLS and The Vamps. This year’s weekend event is supporting charities “Help a Jersey Child” and “Brighter Futures”.
