Two partners at Mourant Ozannes have been shortlisted for the Citywealth Power Women Awards 2017.
BVI Managing Partner Rachael McDonald has been shortlisted for 'Woman of the Year - Leadership (Professional Services, IFC)' and Jersey-based Partner and employment and business law specialist Helen Ruelle is listed in the 'Woman of the Year - Rising Star' category.
The Citywealth Power Women awards champion women in the wealth sector and highlight the female leaders of today and tomorrow. Mourant Ozannes Guernsey Managing Partner Jessica Roland won 'Woman of the Year' in the Leadership (Professional Services, IFC) category earlier this year.
Mourant Ozannes Senior Partner Robert Shepherd said, "Rachael and Helen are both excellent lawyers who demonstrate strong technical ability, a proactive, client-focused approach and genuine passion for their work. As a firm that prides itself on its strong focus on career progression, for the quality of our people to once again be acknowledged is highly rewarding. This recognition is testament to the significant contributions that Rachael and Helen have made to their profession and I wish them both the best of luck."
The outcome of the awards is partly decided by an online vote, which closes on 30 October 2016 and winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held in London on 8 February next year.
