With more than a decade’s experience working in the hospitality industry, Annick Brown has been appointed as new Front of House Manager at the AA four Silver Star L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa.
Originally from France, Annick, who is bilingual, speaking both English and French, joins the St Brelade beachside hotel from The Close Hotel in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
In her new role, Annick will be responsible for a team of seven, consisting of Front Office, Reception and Night Team Staff and will be working to ensure they are delivering the highest level of service possible for all guests.
Commenting on the position, Annick said, “My role as the Front of House Manager is ultimately to make sure our guests receive excellent service from their very first contact with the Hotel and then throughout their arrival, stay and departure.
“This means making sure all front office staff are aware of everything going on in the Hotel and also dealing with any issues before they arise. It’s about anticipating customer needs and promoting an attitude of caring and helpfulness within our staff.”
Discussing the appointment, Simon Miller, General Manager of L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa said, “Annick’s Front of House experience meant she was the perfect fit for the Hotel’s senior team. We have guests visiting from all over the world and not only is she bilingual in English and French but she can confidently communicate in both Spanish and German too. Her appointment further underlines our passion to deliver quality and service and to meet the needs of all our hotel guests along with our local clientele.”
Annick commenced her Hospitality training at college in France before going on to study a BA (Hons) in Tourism and International Hospitality Business Management with modern languages at the University of Birmingham.
