Tour de Jersey has grown in popularity over the past few years, with cyclists of all abilities coming together for a great day of activity in aid of the care and support provided by Jersey Hospice Care.

Returning on 10 July 2022, organisers are delighted to be building on the event and offering a new family-friendly route. Four routes, ranging from 7km to 100km, have been designed by Cog and Sprocket owner, Ian Williams, and the event is being proudly sponsored by Ravenscroft for a third year.

Ian Williams, owner of Cog and Sprocket and a long-term supporter of Jersey Hospice Care, has once again devised the routes for the event. Ian said: “Building on the enthusiasm from cyclists and supporters last year, we are excited to be offering some great new routes. Whether you are an avid cyclist who wants to leg stretch to 100km, an intermediate cyclist ready for a new challenge or a brand-new cyclist looking for their first event, we have a something for you!”

The routes:

100km loop of the Island, taking in many hills and stunning scenery as you go.

50km route is designed for cyclists who want to be challenged but don’t feel confident taking on the full 100km. Features some hills and leg stretch areas.

24km family route is a great route for the younger cyclists, starting at Albert Pier and following the cycle track all the way to Corbiere and back.

7km family route is the newest route and something for novice and young cyclists, or those on scooters and balance bikes. It starts at Albert Pier and follows the cycle track to Bel Royal and back.

Haydn Taylor, Managing Director of Ravenscroft in Jersey, said: “This is Ravenscroft’s third year as sponsor of Jersey Hospice’s Tour de Jersey and we are thrilled to once again be involved. We are keen to be a part of a growing community event that brings people together for a great day and an even greater cause.”

The 2022 Jersey Hospice Care Tour de Jersey will take place on the 10 July starting at the Waterfront in town, start time and exact location to be confirmed.
