A local accountancy firm is celebrating another successful year of sponsoring Jersey’s largest Golf Academy for children.
SRM Accountancy's partnership with PGA Professional Andrew Chamberlain has once again brought exciting opportunities for young golfers (aged 6-16 years of age) on the island, helping them develop both athletic skills and personal growth.
This year’s Academy will culminate in an end-of-season competition at Wheatlands Golf Course on Saturday 21 September, where young golfers will showcase the progress they’ve made over the past 24-week season. The event will start at 3.00 pm, followed by a prize-giving ceremony at Longueville Golf Range at 7:30 pm, where participants will be celebrated for their achievements.
Reflecting the growth of the Academy, Andrew Chamberlain, Class AA/AAT PGA Professional, stated: “As we complete another season, it’s truly remarkable to see the transformation in these young golfers. From their first swings to becoming active members of prestigious clubs like the Royal Jersey Golf Club, their dedication and progress have been inspiring. Beyond the technical skills, it’s their confidence and team spirit that stand out most.”
Shakera Rolle-Manuel, Founder and Director of SRM Accountancy, echoed this sentiment, expressing her pride in supporting such a valuable community initiative: “We are honoured to continue our sponsorship of this Academy. Watching these children grow not only as golfers but also as confident individuals is immensely rewarding. At SRM Accountancy, we believe in the power of sports to shape future leaders, and we remain committed to fostering youth development through our ongoing partnerships.”
SRM Accountancy’s sponsorship is part of the company's broader commitment to giving back to the local community, aligning with its values of supporting youth development and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
