Emily Gledhill of LRD has become the first Channel Island creative agency employee to obtain Accredited MIPA status. She has also been promoted to the position of Account Director.

The IPA is recognised as the world’s most influential professional body for practitioners in advertising and marketing communications, providing thought leadership, best practice, CPD plus core support and advisory services. Of the 10,000 agencies in the UK, only 10% are members, but they handle more than 85% of the UK's ad spend. LRD is one of only three in the Channel Islands that have met the strict criteria to become members.

Accredited MIPA status is the new standard of professionalism in the advertising industry. To achieve this agency employees need to pass several leading industry qualifications and courses as well as comply with CPD learning levels over a three-year period.

Tom Robertshaw, Managing Director of LRD, says this achievement is significant:

“Advertising is a ‘people business’, and naturally we want to have the best people on our team to give our clients that competitive edge. All our staff undergo IPA training and qualifications and meet the very high standards of Continuing Professional Development that expected of IPA members.

Emily is now one of the best-qualified advertising professionals in the Channel Islands. She’s perfectly placed to offer the very latest thinking on creating truly effective marketing communication strategies for clients operating in today's challenging, complex and multi-channel, technology-enabled world. It’s a great achievement, and we congratulate her."
