Butterfield employees have celebrated a range of exam successes throughout 2015.

Overall, 10 Butterfield employees from the company’s trust, investment, compliance and banking support teams completed qualifications over the last year from awarding bodies including ACCA, CISI, ICA, ICSA and STEP, covering key disciplines including certificates in international trust management and anti-money laundering.

These include:

  • Samantha Paluch’s success in achieving her diploma in offshore finance and administration run by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
  • Rachel Adams completed a range of qualifications to achieve the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA) foundations in accountancy award.
  • Holly Woodford completed her STEP diploma in trustee investment and financial appraisal.
  • Olivia Ellis has completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s (CISI) level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM), which has extended her technical skills.

Butterfield takes pride in the professionalism of its staff and supports training and development by granting study leave and offering guidance and advice from members of staff who already hold the qualifications. Much of the candidates’ learning is conducted by self-study.

Richard Saunders, Managing Director of Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited, said: “We are delighted that so many members of the team in Guernsey have taken the time to undertake professional study and we congratulate them on their achievements. Their successes further highlight the technical expertise and professional knowledge we have at Butterfield.”
