The island’s construction industry will be celebrating next month at an awards ceremony.
The Guernsey Construction Awards take place on Friday 14th October at Beau Sejour and building and construction professionals who have shown dedication and excellence in their roles have been chosen as finalists.
Peers, colleagues and the general public submitted nominations over a six-week period earlier this year and, after much debate by the various judging panels, including the C.I.G.P.E. and G.O.S.H.A, the following finalists were chosen:

Rising Star Award

Lucas Willis (CA Duquemin) /Ryan Smith (JW Rihoy) – Novus Group
There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award and a Special Recognition Award handed out on the night
The Guernsey Construction Awards, organised in association with the College of Further Education and Locate Guernsey, and sponsored by Ogier Property and Channel Island Lines aim to highlight and celebrate the contribution these individuals make to Guernsey’s construction industry.
Joey Naidoo, head of the G.O.S.H.A. judging panel for the Health & Safety Award, said: “The standard of entries for this inaugural Guernsey Construction awards has been superb, which made whittling down the entries a very difficult decision for the judging panels.
