Following the completion of her training contract with Collas Crill, newly-qualified solicitor, Chloe Carnachan, has joined the team's growing fiduciary department in Guernsey.

Chloe first joined Collas Crill in April 2014 as a paralegal and then started her training contract with Collas Crill  in October 2014, gaining experience in the firm's dispute resolution, commercial, UK real estate and trust and fiduciary teams.

Following a three month City secondment at Penningtons Manches LLP in London, Chloe returned to Collas Crill earlier this year to complete her training before being admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales on Friday 30 September.

Chloe will now be permanently based in the fiduciary team in Guernsey as a trust and fiduciary lawyer alongside Group Partner and head of fiduciary, Angela Calnan and senior associate, Advocate Kerrie Le Tissier. Her work will include assisting trustees with day to day instruments and queries as well as supporting Angela and Kerrie on the team's  larger structuring work for Middle Eastern and Far Eastern families and on their growing number of non-hostile Court applications to have trust documents clarified or trustee decisions blessed.

As well as Chloe's appointment, the pan-Channel Island team has also seen additional growth with the recent appointment of Lucy Diggle in Collas Crill's Jersey office.

Angela said: "This is a great time for our award-winning fiduciary team which has experienced double digit year on year growth in Guernsey since 2012. We are committed to recruiting and training talented people to join our existing team and we are so pleased to be able to grow organically with Chloe's appointment".

Collas Crill is accredited by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority to provide training contracts for those wishing to qualify as solicitors (of England and Wales).

The firm provides full support from a partner or senior associate, placements within at least three different departments across the firm with the possibility of a secondment to a top tier London law firm.

The programme also includes a two week induction for new trainees to learn about all the functions within the firm including the IT departments, finance, human resources, business development and marketing.

Group Managing Partner, Jason Romer, said: "Collas Crill prides itself on supporting students through various stages of their training. In addition to our bespoke trainee development programme, all Collas Crill trainees are encouraged to have plenty of 'hands on' experience  and are given direct contact with clients as soon as possible".

"Chloe is a prime example of Collas Crill training and retaining quality lawyers. We'd like to congratulate Chloe on her achievements and welcome her permanently to the fiduciary team".
