Guernsey Finance will brief stakeholders on its 2015 activity and look ahead to 2016 at its industry update.
The international promotional agency for the Island’s finance industry will hold its annual update from 4pm on Thursday 24th September at St James.
Dominic Wheatley, Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance, will provide a review of the agency’s work so far in 2015 and an update on its plans for 2016. There will also be an update from Wendy Weng, the Island’s representative in Shanghai, while Kate Clouston, Director of International Business Development, will discuss progress with other jurisdictional development work.
“The purpose of the annual update is to keep local industry informed of what we are doing internationally and to outline Guernsey Finance’s goals going forward and how they fit into the Island’s wider finance sector strategy,” said Mr Wheatley.
“It will also be interesting for stakeholders to hear from Wendy on the current state of the Chinese market, the activities she has been undertaking and what plans are in place for the future. The event is a great opportunity for everyone to engage personally with the Guernsey Finance team and to ask questions.”
