Luke Harding has been appointed as a tax manager for Legis Tax Services as a result of the division’s rapid growth since its inception.

Mr Harding began his career at Ernst & Young in the UK after graduating from the University of Plymouth. In 2010 he joined Deloitte Guernsey, where he was responsible for a varied portfolio of local and offshore high net worth individuals and trusts.

Specialising in advising on the UK tax implications faced by offshore trustees and their UK beneficiaries, Mr Harding quickly progressed to assistant manager and then manager level before joining Legis Tax Services.

He is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and is also a member of the Association of Tax Technicians.

Stuart Platt-Ransom, chairman and chief executive officer of Legis Group, said Mr Harding would make a welcome addition to the flourishing tax services division.

“Luke brings with him a valuable skillset and will be a huge asset to the growing team. At Legis Group we whole-heartedly believe in identifying and nurturing talent and look forward to continuing Luke’s professional development,” he said.

Legis Tax Services launched in October 2012 and doubled its headcount during the first 12 months. The division now has six fee earners, advising on a range of personal and corporate tax and accounting issues.

“In just one year our tax division saw great success and we are delighted to welcome Luke as the latest addition to the team.  Luke’s technical ability and trust background will be a valuable resource in the face of increasingly complex UK and international tax legislation,” said Simon Graham, managing director of Legis Tax Services.
