The Guernsey Occupational Safety and Health Association (GOSHA) has secured Kate Adamson, the Motor Sports Association Director and former McLaren Safety Manager as guest speaker at the Association’s seminar this week.
Ms Adamson is in the island on Thursday 23 November to discuss the world of motorsport and how we can all learn from the advanced procedures and contingencies adopted in this high performance industry.
Entitled ‘Safety when pushing the Envelope’, Ms Adamson will draw on her extensive experience from 11 years at McLaren Racing and more recently at the Motor Sports Association, where her role is to promote and support safety developments within motorsport.
Andrew Mills, Chairman of GOSHA said there were many parallels to be drawn between top level motor sport and everyday life and he was delighted Ms Adamson was able to share her experiences on the island.
‘We are truly thrilled that Kate has agreed to come over and her talk promises to be a fascinating insight into a world we would only see from a distance, and particularly as she will cover the risk taking side of the entertainment industry.’
The talk takes place at La Villette Hotel, on Thursday 23 November at 18:30. Attendance is £12.50 for GOSHA members or £15 for non-members and attendees can email secretary@gosha.org.gg or register at http://www.gosha.org.gg/event-registration/
