Guernsey-based Nerine Group is celebrating its Hong Kong office winning Citywealth International Finance Centre Trust Company of the Year award.
Established in 2006, and headed by Guernsey trust professional Melanie Rihoy, Nerine Hong Kong succeeded over four other trust companies in the category after facing a panel of specialist judges and an online vote.
The awards, which celebrate excellence in the private wealth sector in the major international finance centres, took place at a gala dinner on 23 January at the Grange City Hotel in London.
Chairman Keith Corbin accepted the award. He said: “As a gateway to our international network of offices we recognised that Nerine Hong Kong had a compelling story to tell. Winning this award demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards and innovative approach to private wealth around the world.
Nerine Hong Kong director, Melanie Rihoy, said: “We strive to replicate the high level of service shown in the group as a whole in a region of the world where exciting things are happening in the area of private wealth.”
Karen Jones of Citywealth said: “Nerine received tremendous praise from the judges and high scores in the Citywealth IFC online voting which represents the ‘popular vote’ and includes ultra high net worth clients and family offices globally. In a competitive industry this gives a seal of approval to Nerine for their management structure and confirms their investment in their people.”
