The Good Food Guide published by Waitrose, has today announced a new entry from Guernsey in the 2015 edition of the Guide, which is published on 8 September.
The Guide, now in its 64th year, reflects the high standard of dining in the Channel Islands, with a total of 13 restaurants, pubs and cafés from the region included in the UK’s bestselling restaurant guide. The new entry from Guernsey that has landed a spot in Waitrose Good Food Guide 2015 is Fermain Beach Café in St Peter Port, which is listed as a ‘Local Gem’ and praised for its ‘magical setting’.
It will join Bohemia, Ormer, Tassili, Mark Jordan at the Beach, Ocean Restaurant, Sumas, Green Island Restaurant, Oyster Box, The Green Olive and Longueville Manor all in Jersey, La Frégate and Da Nello in Guernsey in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2015 listings for the Channel Islands.
Elizabeth Carter, Consultant Editor of the Waitrose Good Food Guide commented: ‘It’s great to see the Channel Islands continuing to do so well in the Good Food Guide 2015. Congratulations to Fermain Beach Café in St Peter Port, a fabulous addition to the Channel Island’s dining scene, and to Shaun Rankin, whose big-hitting Ormer has moved up a point to join Bohemia as the two top scoring Channel Islands restaurants.’
