Tommy Murphy is a Senior Manager in the Guernsey Audit team with 16 years of experience as an auditor.
He is principally focused on audit and other assurance solutions for financial services clients; in particular listed and unlisted Funds and their Managers in a range of asset classes. He also has extensive experience working with Fiduciary and other financial services groups, their clients and family wealth management structures. Tommy has worked with Investment Managers, Fund Managers, Stockbrokers, Fund Administrators, Insurance business and Fiduciaries. He is also experienced in dealing with audit assignments that cross international boundaries including worldwide financial services groups, international family wealth structures, household name branded products and international private equity structures.
Tommy also often provides advisory and consultancy services to financial services clients with a focus upon compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
After arriving in Guernsey in 2003, Tommy spent 13 years with BDO prior to joining Grant Thornton.
Tommy is a Fellow of the ACCA, has a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards and a Bachelor of Accountancy with Honours Degree.
