Linda Johnson has been appointed as a Partner of KPMG LLP in the Channel Islands and Executive Director of KPMG Channel Islands Limited. She is well known for her 12 years working for KPMG in the Channel Islands and her role as Chairman of the Guernsey branch of the Institute of Directors.
The promotion is testament to Mrs Johnson’s specialist work in the Advisory department and is in line with the company’s exciting growth plans for the sector. KPMG is committed to developing talented business leaders through significant long-term investment in both personal and professional progression. Mrs Johnson has dedicated over a decade of her professional career to KPMG in the Channel Islands and demonstrated outstanding performance to reach this level.
Mrs Johnson, who is originally from New Zealand, qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand. On moving to Guernsey, she began her work with KPMG and has specialised in Advisory services. She now heads up the firm’s forensic, restructuring and insolvency business. She also deals with a wide range of regulatory and risk management matters, ranging from assisting with business risk assessments, governance and compliance monitoring, through to regulatory remediation. In her new role, she will be playing a greater part in the wider leadership and strategy of the business.
She is a well-known figure in Guernsey through her role as chairman of the Guernsey branch of the Institute of Directors, and she also sits on a number of industry and government groups.
Mrs Johnson is married to Carl and has three sons. In her spare time, she can often be found on the side-line at cricket, football, rugby or hockey.
