Saffery Champness Guernsey has been shortlisted for the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activity of the Year’ award at the inaugural Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation awards.
The awards have been launched by Citywealth with the aim of highlighting successful brands and individuals in the wealth industry that have engaged the public and aligned their firm or product with the values and beliefs of clients and peers.
Saffery Champness’ submission highlighted its significant involvement with the Saffery Rotary Walk and its cultural ethos of giving and volunteering throughout all areas of the company. The firm’s CSR initiatives have impacted its brand and ethical business practices, evidenced by the firm’s win at the Guernsey Community Awards last year for ‘CSR Company of the Year’.
Entries for each category were shortlisted by an independent judging panel of professors from the London School of Economics and Brunel Business School. The winners will be determined by the panel of judges who make up 90% of the vote with the remaining 10% decided by online voting.
Director and head of the firm’s CSR activity Lisa Vizia, said: “CSR forms a major part of our culture and business strategy which is reflected in our brand.
“Our commitment to local charities and organisations is about raising awareness and using the organisation's skills to ensure that the charity, organisation, project or initiative leaves a long-lasting legacy in the island.
“By engaging our staff in our community activity, we truly believe we can add much greater value than simply writing a cheque, this is fundamental to our firm’s attitude to CSR
