Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries in Guernsey appears twice on the shortlist for the 2017 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards.

The firm has been shortlisted for the ‘Trust Company of the Year Institutional’ award while director Lisa Vizia has been nominated for ‘Trustee of the Year’.

The Magic Circle Awards, now in its 12th year and organised by the UK-based publisher of wealth-management industry news and directories Citywealth, brings together a top level group of elite advisers and managers in the international wealth industry.

Saffery Champness, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Guernsey this year, won the ‘Trust Company of the Year Institutional’ category at the 2016 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards.

Miss Vizia, who was shortlisted for the ‘Trustee of the Year’ award last year, said: “I am honoured to be a finalist alongside other leading private client professionals. Regardless of the result, I'm thrilled to have been shortlisted twice for such a prestigious award and am looking forward to the awards ceremony.”

Entries for each category were shortlisted by a judging panel featuring 10 global industry experts. Their deliberations make up 90% of the vote with the remaining 10% from online voting.

Managing director of Saffery Champness, Nick Batiste, said: “Being shortlisted again for this award acknowledges the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication of our team.

“I am especially pleased to see that Lisa has once again been shortlisted in the prestigious Trustee of the Year category, it is a testament to her high standard of bespoke client service and her commitment to our business.”

Voting for this year’s Citywealth Magic Circle Awards closes on 21 April. https://www.citywealthmag.com/events/magic-circle-awards-2017

The awards ceremony will take place on 10 May in London.

This announcement comes a week after Saffery Champness was shortlisted for the independent trust company of the year award at the 2017 WealthBriefing European Awards. Saffery Champness also secured the bronze award in the ‘Company of the Year: Female Leadership (Professional Services)’ category and director Lisa Vizia received the silver award in the ‘Woman of the Year: Business Growth (Professional Services)’ category in the 2017 Citywealth Power Women Awards.
