Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries in Guernsey has been shortlisted for the independent trust company of the year award at the 2016 WealthBriefing European Awards.
This announcement comes a week after the firm was shortlisted for ‘Institutional Trust Company of the Year’ and director Lisa Vizia was nominated for ‘Trustee of the Year’ at this year’s Citywealth Magic Circle Awards.
Managing director, Nick Batiste, said: “By proactively thinking rather than just ‘processing’ and by working in partnership with our clients’ own private offices and advisers, we pride ourselves on being more than just a service provider. These award accolades are a reflection of this, and are a clear demonstration of the high level of service the team here provides.”
ClearView Financial Media’s Chief Executive and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to the shortlisted firms: “The firms who have been shortlisted in these awards are all worthy competitors and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations.
“These awards are judged on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics. That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature. These awards will recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process - such that the awards truly reflect excellence in wealth management.
“Our aim is to make these annual awards one of the brightest and keenly contested highlights in the wealth management calendar.”
Now in its fourth year, the WealthBriefing European Awards will attract more than 500 senior banking and wealth management professionals to the industry’s prestigious gala event.
The awards were assessed on innovation and excellence achieved in 2015, as recognised by the wealth management industry. The judging panel comprised trusted advisors judging the private banking categories and a panel of private bankers judging the trusted adviser categories.
Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner which will be held in London on 19 May at The Guildhall.
