Three employees of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries in Guernsey and Switzerland have been listed in the 2017 Citywealth Future Leaders 100.
The list is the publication’s third annual compilation of rising stars under the age of 40 in the global private wealth industry.
Greta Allman and Nick Ford are both senior trust managers in the Saffery Champness Guernsey office while Paul Tucknott is the managing director in the Swiss office. They are three of the 20 listed in the trustees category and all three were also included in the 2016 list.
Ms Allman was recently promoted to the role of senior trust manager after joining the firm in 2013 as trust manager of a specialist Middle East family office team. A source commented on her ‘professionalism’ and commended her ‘highly proactive, thought-led, high quality and efficient service’.
With more than 17 years’ experience in the fiduciary sector, Mr Ford has worked his way through the ranks at Saffery Champness from trainee trust administer to senior trust manager. He manages one of the firm’s five fiduciary teams and sits on the business development committee. ‘Nick’s recent promotion is a reflection of his professional ability and involvement in the future development of the firm,’ said a source.
Mr Tucknott joined Saffery Champness as a trainee in the Guernsey office in 2000 and held several positions within the firm before moving to the Geneva office when it opened in 2008. After a short period in a private bank trust company, Mr Tucknott returned to Saffery Champness’ Geneva office in 2012, joining the company’s Swiss Board soon after, and was recently promoted to the role of managing director of the business in Switzerland. He has overseen significant growth of the Geneva office which is one of the largest independent fiduciary businesses in the jurisdiction.
Those listed were selected after extensive editorial research and following recommendations from industry peers, charities and ultra high net worth clients. The list recognises the study and commitment that has enabled them to advance in the industry.
Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries, which employs more than 120 staff in Guernsey and 20 in Geneva, is one of the largest independent providers of fiduciary services on Guernsey and this year celebrates its 40th anniversary in the island.
Saffery Champness managing director Nick Batiste said: “We have a strong culture of developing the people in our business to enable them to achieve their full potential. Those listed as Citywealth Future Leaders are great examples of this and I hope they will inspire their younger colleagues in the business.”
This year has also seen director Lisa Vizia being named ‘Trustee of the Year’ and the firm as runner up in the ‘Trust Company of the Year Institutional’ category at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2017. Miss Vizia also received the silver award in the ‘Woman of the Year: Business Growth (professional Services)’ category and Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries secured the bronze award in the ‘Company of the Year: Female Leadership (Professional Services) category at the 2017 Citywealth Power Women Awards.
