Islanders have three weeks left to nominate an individual or team for this year’s Sure Customer Services Awards.
Now in its sixth year, the awards, organised in association with the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, celebrate exceptional customer service at a ceremony in Market Square on Thursday 7 July.
More than 3,600 online nominations have already been received for the awards recognising outstanding customer service in various local industries including banking, retail, hospitality, health and tourism.
Many more nominations are expected to be in voting boxes around the island but these won’t be counted up until after the nomination deadline of June 10.
The awards are comprised of 10 categories covering multiple business sectors. The categories include: aspiring star (under 25), self-employed, best team, overall customer experience, States employee, humble volunteer (charitable/caring), best service at a visitor attraction, food/hospitality award, best service in tourism, best service from a senior citizen and best business for customer service.
Sure customer experience director, Charlotte Dunsterville, said: “We’ve had some fantastic nominations for the awards so far highlighting some great examples of customer service from a diverse range of local professions including civil servants, staff at the local branch of a bank, hairdressers and gardeners.
“Whether you’ve received outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, by e-mail or via social media we want to hear about it.”
