Ogier's Guernsey team has been named in the top tier for finance, corporate and investment funds practices in the International Financial Law Review 1000 directory, and has seen two additional lawyers recognised for their individual work.
The leading independent directory has re-affirmed the Guernsey office's leading tier one ranking for the financial and corporate team, and investment funds teams.
Partner Bryon Rees has been recognised for the first time as a "Leading Lawyer" while managing associate Andrew Munro has been named a "Rising Star" in the 2017 edition of the IFLR 1000 directory.
Marcus Leese, the Practice Partner in Ogier's Guernsey office, said: "I'm very pleased on behalf of the whole team that we have our top tier rankings across the financial and corporate and investment funds practice have been confirmed by this independent endorsement.
"Maintaining that leading status is the result of an enormous amount of hard work and dedication by a talented team – this independent recognition is the result not just of the strength of our offering, but also the depth of our team.
"It's also pleasing to see thoroughly deserved recognition of both Bryon and Andrew on an individual basis, which again is the result of their dedication, experience and skill."
Today's directory is another independent endorsement of the quality of Ogier's advice across service lines and jurisdictions – in 2016 alone, the firm has been named the Offshore Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Europe, Hedgeweek Global Awards and the Alpha Awards, following up on similar awards from The Lawyer and STEP the previous year.
The firm has also won awards for Best Rebranding Campaign, High Yield Deal of the Year and Caribbean Law Firm of the Year during the last 12 months.
