UK expert to help judge the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards

Entries are now being invited for the 2017 Guernsey Property & Construction Awards.

The awards celebrate professional achievements in all areas of the property and construction industry, judged by a panel of experts, and recognise the work of both individuals and teams. 

The winners will be announced at the annual Awards ceremony, to be held at Beau Sejour on Thursday 2nd November.

Peter Ferbrache, president of the Economic Development Committee said, ‘As usual, we are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of Guernsey’s hard-working property and construction professionals, and to recognise the contribution they make to Guernsey’s industry, at all levels.’

Joining the judging panel this year is Mark Hayward, Chief Executive of the National Association of Estate Agents.

Mark has extensive experience in property, covering sales and lettings. He has acted as consultant to national and regional developers, housing associations and property companies. He sits on a number of committees including HM Treasury’s Money Laundering Advisory Committee, the Land Registry Advisory Council and HMRC’s Stamp Duty Land Tax Working Together Stakeholder Group. Mark is also on the board of The Tenancy Deposit Scheme, The Property Ombudsman and The International Consortium of Real Estate Associations.

The award categories are:

  • Aspiring Star Award
  • Health & Safety Award
  • Engineering Project of the year
  • Property Agent of the year
  • Innovation for best new product or service
  • Industry supplier of the year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

Nominations will be accepted from the public and those working within the industry.
