Full Description

Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Client Accountant to deliver exceptional service to a diverse portfolio of trust and company clients. This permanent, full-time role involves maintaining bookkeeping records, reconciling financial data, and preparing financial statements. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, auditors, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Click here to read more Job Duties: Process bookkeeping entries in the Business Central system, ensuring accurate accounting records for trusts and companies. Load initial balances for new clients and close ledgers for terminated or transferred accounts. Review bookkeeping entries from other jurisdictions for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile bank statements and portfolio valuations with accounting records. Liaise with banks, investment advisors, and agents to resolve reconciliation queries. Prepare management accounts, including cash flow forecasts, income and expenditure statements, and other ad-hoc financial reports. Produce accurate financial statements under FRS 102 for audit or statutory submission. Ensure all material accruals and prepayments are accounted for at the end of reporting periods. Provide relevant support and comments during financial statement reviews. Job Requirements: ACCA or ACA qualification (or equivalent), or relevant experience in financial services. Experience in trust or financial services environments, including bookkeeping for trusts, companies, and investments. Familiarity with income and capital segregation in trust bookkeeping and consolidation of financial statements. Knowledge of Jersey trust and company law, as well as statutory reporting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with experience in NavOne or Business Central systems as an advantage. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workloads. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
