Full Description

Our client, a leading provider of fund administration services in Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Fund Accountant for a 6-month contract. The role involves managing the accounting and administration of closed and open-ended investment companies, unit trusts, and limited partnerships, particularly in private equity, property, and infrastructure funds. The Fund Accountant will prepare and oversee financial statements, manage key deliverables, and support year-end audits, ensuring compliance with client documentation and industry regulations. Click here to read more Job Duties: Prepare and oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients. Prepare annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, and AUS. Manage key deliverables in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs). Calculate management fees, carried interest, distribution amounts, and perform waterfall calculations. Deal with year-end audits and auditor queries. Ensure compliance with client documentation and internal processes and procedures. Address and investigate client queries. Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes and procedures. Support ad-hoc departmental project work. Keep up to date with technical developments in the fund industry. Job Requirements: Undertaking a professional qualification, ideally ACA, ACCA, or equivalent. Ability to prepare final accounts from source documentation. Completer/finisher with the ability to see tasks through to completion. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good motivational and presentation skills. Knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS (training provided). Knowledge of private equity, property, and infrastructure funds is advantageous. Familiarity with Jersey fund structures and regulatory requirements is preferred.
