Invitations to a highly anticipated Apple event sent Twitter into meltdown as people scoured the emails for clues about the tech company’s next release.
It is widely expected that a new iPhone, or even iPhones, will be released at the September 12 event, the first to take place at the company’s campus headquarters in Cupertino, California.
But did the invitation, which had a brightly coloured Apple logo at its centre, hold any more details about what’s coming up than a simple time and place?
You better believe it did.
One thing is for sure – Apple will want the first event in the Steve Jobs Theatre to be fitting of the man who made its events such an attraction.
It is also the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone, a milestone many think will be marked by a dramatically different type of iPhone with a sleeker and even bigger screen.
In addition, there’s likely to be updates to last year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
