The Government is set to award £2 million to encourage innovators to develop tech-driven solutions to the "significant" challenges presented by Jersey's ageing population.
Impact Jersey’s CareTech challenge, which is funded by the Government and delivered by Digital Jersey, is due to be launched formally next month.
It is the second initiative to be rolled out by Impact Jersey, a scheme founded in 2023 to accelerate and strengthen how Jersey uses technology to support the island's future economy.

The programme aims to encourage both local and international businesses to develop tech-driven solutions that address the health and independence of older islanders.
Digital Jersey CEO Tony Moretta said the programme would help with the "specific and significant demographic and healthcare challenges Jersey is set to experience over the coming decades".
He explained: "This initiative provides a real opportunity to demonstrate how technology can address local challenges, prevent ill-health and social exclusion, maintain people's independence and help alleviate pressure on Jersey's health and care system.
"We are deliberately facilitating international collaboration by encouraging technology providers from across the globe to team up with local businesses and care providers to create impactful solutions."
Economic Development Minister Kirsten Morel added that the scheme would create "positive change for the long-term future of islanders".

Applications will be assessed by an independent panel of five local and overseas judges.
